Streaming Shark Week on Your Desktop or iPhone

Shark enthusiasts… get ready! August 12th marks the beginning of the 25th Annual Shark Week. For the very first time, the Discovery Channel and Georgia Aquarium have teamed up to provide us with a Shark Cam, a live-streaming video from the world’s largest single aquarium habitat. Earlier this month, Shark Cam began streaming a 360-degree view of the 6.3 million gallon Ocean Voyager Exhibit at Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta – the home of 33 sharks spanning seven species, including the largest species, the whale shark. And the cam actually works on your smartphone, so you'll never miss a beat.

With the Shark Cam, you can pan, tilt and move the camera to track down your favorite shark. There’s an additional stationary underwater camera as well, if that’s your preferred method of shark watching. It will also be featuring twice-daily feedings and daily live chats with an underwater shark expert starting August 13th through August 16th.

Craving even more shark interaction? Make sure to follow @SharkWeek on Twitter and join in the conversation.
